Pentre Riding Stables & Trekking Centre runs a Pony Club dedicated to coaching children with an interest in horseback riding. During these sessions, children are taught all aspects of horsemanship and have the opportunity to earn Pony Club badges. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s safety, please speak to our team. All of our riding instructors are qualified and bring a wealth of experience to every session. You can trust us to guide your child at each stage and support them as they tackle new challenges while learning to ride.
PONY DAYS FOR THE CHILDREN
Own-a-Pony Days encourage children to behave safely around horses while learning all about stable life. Children take care of a pony throughout the day, from tacking up to brushing down, and enjoy a 30-minute lesson followed by a 60-minute trek. These sessions run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. They cost £30 per day when booked as part of a fortnightly programme or £60 for a one-off event. You can find out more details by talking to our friendly team.

WHAT MAKES OUR PONY CLUB SPECIAL?
Our children’s riding club is led by qualified instructors who are DBS checked, First Aid trained, and Trek Leader and British Horse Society (BHS) qualified. Every session is carefully supervised to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for young riders. Lessons and activities are customised to each child’s ability, from complete beginners to more advanced junior equestrians. Riders gain hands-on experience in pony care and develop confidence and skills through structured pony riding lessons.
